Another Successful ISO 14001 Surveillance Audit at Ryedale Organics

[21/06/17] WRM continues to work closely with the team at Ryedale Organics to support sustainability and environmental performance improvements. WRM have helped Ryedale Organics develop and implement an effective environmental management system following the ISO 14001 Standard, which was successfully certified by a third-party UKAS approved auditing body.

WRM have now supported Ryedale Organics through several surveillance audits following the initial certification in April 2016. Prior to each surveillance audit WRM and Ryedale Organics undertake an in-depth review of legal compliance with relevant legislation, robust internal audits of the ISO 14001 system and procedures, and engaged in environmental management review meetings lead by WRM’s ISO systems expert.

This approach allows our team to identify any potential opportunities for improvement within the ISO 14001 systems and to develop quarterly action plans to safeguard continual improvement within the management system as required by the ISO Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) cycle.

This proactive approach confirms the ISO 14001 management system is effective in achieving its intended outcomes and that each third-party surveillance audit goes smoothly, ensuring that certification to the ISO 14001 Standard is maintained.
