WRM have met the requirements of the Carbon Literate Organisation Standard, and for the purposes of workplace, education and community are regarded as a Gold level Carbon Literate Organisation as accredited by the Carbon Literacy Project.

Achieving this standard demonstrates our commitment to the education of individuals and organisations in the challenges facing our communities from climate change.

National Farmers Union

National Farmers Union

The NFU was founded in 1908 and is today, the largest farming organisation in the UK, providing a strong and respected voice for the industry to support the needs of its members locally, nationally and internationally.

WRM are NFU members providing support to the farming industry through management of fertiliser application (FACTS qualified) and meeting the requirements of environmental legislation when applying materials to land.

REA was established in 2001 as a not-for-profit trade association, representing British renewable energy producers and promoting the use of renewable energy in the UK. REA helps our members build commercially and environmentally sustainable businesses whilst promoting clean technologies and increasing the contribution of renewable energy to the UK’s electricity, heat, transport and green gas needs. Its membership also includes composters, following the merger of the Association for Organics Recycling (formerly the Composting Association) in 2013.

WRM are longstanding members of REA having been appointed approved consultant under the AfOR. WRM continue to support this core trade association including the presentation at events, sitting on sector working groups, sponsorship, and responding to consultations and lobbying papers to help shape the future of the sector.

The Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) is the professional membership body for promoting best practice standards in environmental management, auditing and assessment for all industry sectors. IEMA is now the leading international membership-based organisation dedicated both to the promotion of sustainable development, and to the professional development of individuals involved in the environmental profession, whether they are in the public, private or non-governmental sectors.

WRM IEMA accredited consultants provide assessed technical knowledge in the environmental sector and implement industry wide standards for environmental management.

Chartered Institution of Waste Management

Chartered Institution of Waste Management

The Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM) is the professional body which represents over 7,000 waste professionals working in the sustainable resources and wastes management sectors, predominantly in the UK but also overseas. CIWM sets the professional standards for individuals working in the industry and has various grades of membership determined by education, qualification and experience.

WRM have staff at full member status demonstrating excellent working knowledge of the waste management industry, and consequently, they are involved in shaping the industry through the CIWM at a strategic level.

ADBA was established in 2009 as a not-for-profit organisation representing businesses in the anaerobic digestion sector, to help remove the barriers to growth currently faced by the industry and to promote the benefits of AD to the UK. We want to realise the potential of the AD industry, and allow this sector to deliver energy security and economic growth – in waste management, farming, transport and food processing, among others – while also combating climate change.

WRM are active ADBA members, attending and presenting at conferences and exhibitions, ensuring that we contribute to the shaping and development of the sector as a voice of our clients.

WRM have achieved the NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, demonstrating our commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety. This qualification equips WRM’s managers, supervisors, and other responsible personnel with a comprehensive understanding of essential health and safety principles, including risk assessment, hazard control, and health and safety management systems (45001).

WRM is a proud member of the SME Climate Hub, a global initiative that empowers small to medium sized companies to take climate action and build more resilient businesses. Through the SME Climate Hub, we commit to lowering our impact on the environment through authentic action, halving our emissions by 2030. In making the commitment, we have joined the United Nations Race to Zero campaign.

Association of British HealthTech Industries

WRM is a proud member of ABHI, the UK’s leading industry association for health technology (HealthTech). ABHI supports the HealthTech community to save and enhance lives. Members, including both multinationals and small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), supply products from syringes and wound dressings to surgical robots and digitally enhanced technologies. We represent the industry to stakeholders, such as the government, NHS and regulators. HealthTech plays a key role in supporting delivery of healthcare and is a significant contributor to the UK’s economic growth. HealthTech is the largest employer in the broader Life Sciences sector, employing 145,700 people in 4,300 companies, with a combined turnover of £30bn. The industry has enjoyed growth of around 5% in recent years. ABHI’s 330 members account for approximately 80% of the sector by value.
