WRM reviewed all business processes at WLC and undertook a detailed Gap Analysis to fully understand the baseline positions against the ISO standards. The outcome helped WRM to develop a project plan to integrate the company’s existing processes, such as PAS 100 Standard Operating Procedures for compost quality, with the requirements of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. Consultancy support was then provided to develop and install additional systems and procedures and to run through a complete audit cycle ahead of certification.
- WRM worked with WLC to identify business targets, operational controls and programmes of work to deliver improvements in service provision and environmental performance.
- To prepare WLC for certification, WRM developed a legal register and undertook a series of legal compliance audits and undertook a full internal audit of the documented systems and procedures and implementation evidence.
- To ensure a cycle of continual improvement was implemented, WRM prepared and chaired a series of Management Review Meetings.
- WRM supported WLC through every step of the process and were on hand during the external certification audit to answer questions from the independent auditing body.
