Customised Carbon Literacy Training for Engaging Your Workforce
We offer tailored Carbon Literacy Training, designed to empower learners with a deep understanding of climate science, climate impacts, and actionable steps to significantly reduce their carbon footprints at work. Our training fosters positive behaviour change, leading to substantial reductions in carbon footprints ranging from 5% to 15%, creating a positive impact within your organisation.

What is Carbon Literacy?
Carbon Literacy is an accredited training scheme which is run by the Carbon Literacy Project (CLP) to embed sustainable behaviour changes within an organisation. The sustainability training improves staff awareness of the carbon costs and the impacts of their everyday activities. It also empowers individuals, communities and organisations to be aware of how their actions can reduce emissions.
Training is delivered by approved providers, such as WRM, who deliver a sector specific training pack to your employees through online or in person training sessions.
Organisations can become an accredited “Carbon Literate Organisation”, signalling commitment to address climate change in a holistic manner. By having a third-party accreditation verified by the CLP, your commitment to action on climate change is meaningful and substantive. This strengthens the sustainability and corporate social responsibility credentials of any organisation.

Why Become Carbon Literate?
Carbon Literacy training can support your sustainability strategy objectives to increase employee awareness of climate change and the actions that individuals and organisations can take to reduce their impact. Individuals gain an increased awareness of climate science, the impacts from a warming planet, and what can be done to mitigate and adapt to such change.
By becoming a Carbon Literate Organisation, your organisation can achieve a reduction in CO2e emissions. The CLP estimates that Carbon Literacy training can deliver a 5-15% reduction in CO2e emissions per individual trained. This in turn can deliver cost reductions, as reducing emissions is often associated with reduced utility bills and business mileage expenses. As a certified Carbon Literate organisation, you can demonstrate the proactive approach taken to tackle change through staff engagement and behaviour change.

How We Make It Possible
Our trained experts can deliver both in person or virtual training for your organisation to meet with your needs and minimise disruption. We produce tailored training content to ensure the issues of climate change and carbon emissions are practical to address commercial challenges and opportunities for your organisation’s sector and operations. We also personalise training to makes sure it is meaningful and valuable to your staff.
We take pride in developing informative, engaging and interactive sessions designed to encourage meaningful actions across your organisation. By empowering your staff to take individual and group actions the impact achieved can be beyond carbon emission reduction. The training can also deliver wider benefits such as operational efficiencies, reduced operating costs and improved CSR/ESG positioning.

The trainers managed to cover a lot of content which was brilliant, they covered a lot of important and relevant material and facts.
WRM delivered a genuinely informative session to the Estates and Facilities department. The training was really well received by my colleagues, and we are going to deliver more training across the team following the first session. The actions that come out of these sessions will no doubt help us fulfil our ambition of becoming the Greenest Trust in the UK.
