Contact UsWhat Is A Management System?
A management system is a set of policies, processes and procedures used by an organisation to ensure that it can fulfil the tasks required to achieve its objectives. Management systems are routinely implemented and updated to ensure best practice is embedded into an organisation within a defined structure. These management systems are routinely audited to ensure compliance, and often require third-party verification to obtain accreditation.
There are many individual management system standards that are adopted nationally and internationally across a wide range of sectors. Some of the common management systems employed are identified below.
Management System Standards
Environmental Management Systems
ISO 14001
Quality Management Systems

Manure Management Plan
A strategy for handling and using manure to prevent environmental harm.
Why Develop A Management System?
A Management System can effectively and efficiently manage interrelated parts of an organisation in order to achieve goals and objectives. A management system supports the growth of an organisation by organising operational procedures to maintain protocol and increase efficiency. A management system supports the development of staff by embedding organisational best practice whilst being flexible to enable continual improvement. Organisations can realise benefits through increased customer relationships, reduced costs, a lower environmental impact and the identification and mitigation of business risk.
The reason to become certified to a national or international standard may be to access new business opportunities, such as the need to meet the requirements of a specific standard to open new markets for goods or services, or satisfy supply chains that the provision of goods and services will be consistent and of the requisite quality.

We were very happy with the level of competence and professionalism WRM displayed throughout the entire process in the production of our response to the regulator.
A key part of the project was to differentiate and capture the legal compliance requirements that apply to the different product origin and distribution models adopted by the company. WRM delivered the scope of works beyond our expectations
WRM diligently managed the entire process aiding us in successfully completing the Regulation 61 BAT Assessment. Their strong technical knowledge in combination with effective communication channels led to a very efficient process.
A key objective of this project was to quickly identify the waste material and to understand the liability presented by the stockpiles. WRM’s combined technical understanding, awareness of legislation and classification procedures, and market knowledge was fundamental in meeting this objective.
WRM applied their strong technical knowledge and perception of the commercial context to deliver expert witness support in a discreet manner that provided confidence to the receivership management team.
WRM worked diligently with Econ Engineering to accurately quantify the amount of materials used within the audit period, the amount of waste generated and the solvent contents of both. This resulted in an accurate calculation of the actual solvent emission which enabled Econ Engineering to demonstrate compliance with our permit.
