Expert Witness Provision
The WRM consultancy team has a depth of experience across a variety of project types in the waste, renewable energy, and agriculture sectors. Many of our Senior Consultancy team have more than 20 years’ experience in a variety of roles which provides the required credentials to act as expert witnesses in civil and criminal cases.
We can provide explanations of sectoral/market regulatory regimes and management systems, benchmarking and examples, and genuine first-hand experience to provide robust evidence that withstands the scrutiny of a case.
Drawing upon this experience and expertise our team can provide a range of expert witness support including:
- Written proofs of evidence.
- Valuation and quantification evidence.
- Rebuttal of evidence from dispute counterparties.
- Establishing points of common ground with opposing witnesses (Statement of Common Ground).
- Providing aural evidence under cross examination.
There are a variety of situations where the WRM team may be required to provide expert witness support, including:
- Commercial disputes (e.g. derivative action).
- Contract arbitration (e.g. dispute resolution procedure, termination).
- Planning public enquiries.
- Enforcement undertaking support.
- Criminal/prosecution defence.
Matching the right expert to each case is a pre-requisite to WRM accepting any expert witness commissions and we welcome a discussion about your specific case and requirements.
Providing WRM with a statement of case (civil) or prosecution case summary (criminal) is a helpful first step in determining whether we can support your expert witness requirement.
Please get in touch to find out more and to discuss your requirement.
