A key aspect of the work was to identify and fully quantify the full range of organic waste collection and treatment options available to GMCA and its nine collection authorities. WRM were able to provide this advice as a result of our expertise in organic waste systems, and as a result of over fifteen years of strategy and cost modelling work.
WRMs experience and understanding of the organics sector and high level of service was notable throughout the procurement. The flexibility shown by the WRM team following the change in procurement approach was instrumental to concluding the contract in a timely manner.
As organic waste specialists, the WRM team were able to provide a good level of insight into various food waste collection options. This was supported by detailed knowledge of costs and market dynamics which supported the feasibility aspect of the project.
WRM did a sterling job in drafting the large amount of technical tender documentation required in a constrained timescale. Thanks to their support the council received a good response to our market approach.
