Anthony has worked within the sustainability and resource management sectors across a range of disciplines since 2001. Having managed waste companies, worked for academic institutes and with both national and regional market development organisations he has generating a solid foundation in the environmental sector, specialising in organic waste management. He is a FACTS Qualified Adviser and a representative consultant within the Renewable Energy Association, Anaerobic Digestion and Biogas Association (ADBA), and Organics Recycling Group (ORG) and a Member Chartered Management Institute (MCMI).
Anthony has the operational understanding and proven business acumen needed to run a range of businesses. He also has an excellent technical understanding in the application of soils and organic residuals in agriculture, horticulture, landscape and regeneration sectors.
Anthony formed Walker Organics Management in 2007, providing technical, operational and regulatory advice to the organics recycling sector. By 2008 the company had gained recognition within the organics sector, achieving approved consultancy status for ORG (formerly AfOR) and selected as WRAP framework contractors. Anthony changed the company name to Walker Resource Management Limited (WRM) in 2009 to incorporate a growing workload throughout the UK across the broad spectrum of the waste and renewable energy sectors. At this stage the company began to expand further and in 2010 WRM moved into their Head Office in Otley, West Yorkshire, which acts as a hub to the peripheral satellite offices throughout the UK. Following several years of ‘organic’ growth in 2018 WRM moved to their new head offices having restored the former bank premises in Manor Square, Otley.
WRM have become members and recognised consultants of the NFU, providing waste management support to on-farm diversification schemes. Anthony continues to be engaged in strategic initiatives, developing and facilitating the opportunities for organic recycling operations, renewable energy and sustainability strategy throughout the UK. Anthony maintains a keen interest in commercial research through his consultancy business.
